The Old Lamb Inn dates back to 1487.  Not only is it one of the oldest buildings in the village, but also one of the most reputedly haunted!  The 1480s marked the beginning of the Tudor period and Henry VII of England was the first monarch of the House of Tudor until his death in 1485.  One of the rooms in The Old Lamb Inn takes you back to those Tudor times with its beamed ceilings and walls, a large fireplace bearing the Royal Coat of Arms of Henry VII.

The old Inn has had many faces of the famous pass through the doors of this former coaching inn, including the notorious highway man Dick Turpin.  Stories of Turpin’s romanticised exploits can be followed all over the country as he frequented many coaching inns, until his demise when he was found guilty of horse thief and sentenced to death; he was executed on 7th April 1739.

Is it possible that one of the restless spirits at The Old Lamb Inn could be that of Dick Turpin himself, and this less romantic past of murder and pilfering.  Dark shadows, disembodied voices, extreme drops in temperature are just some of the strange anomalies you may encounter on a night of paranormal investigation with Enigma Paranormal Events at The Old Lamb Inn!
